Bei Gesetzgebungsverfahren werden oft diverse Lobbygruppen und Betroffene angehört, schriftlich oder mündlich, von der Regierung und/oder vom Parlament. Auf EU-Ebene gibt es ebenfalls solche „Konsultationen“, auch bei der Tabakbekämpfungspolitik. Aktuell kann man, ob Unternehmen, Interessenverband oder Einzelperson, zu geplanten Änderungen bei der Tabakbesteuerung Stellung nehmen. Sogar auf Deutsch, das war in der Vergangenheit nicht immer so. Noch bis zum 3. September. Denn die deutsche Tabaksteuer wird nicht nur in Berlin gemacht, sondern es existiert ein EU-Rahmen zur Höhe und Gestaltung. Participate: The future of EU tobacco taxation

Legislative procedures often involve the consultation of various lobbying groups and people concerned, either in writing or verbally, by the Government and/or the Parliament. There are also such “consultations” at EU level, also regarding tobacco control policies.  At present, corporations, interest groups and individuals may have their say about the proposed changes in tobacco taxation. Versions are available in all various languages. This opportunity remains until the 3rd of September 2018. Altersjahr damit begonnen, etwas für ihre Gesundheit zu tun. ‚Sie lebt immer noch in ihrer Wohnung aber sie ist etwas weniger aktiv als in früheren Jahren‘, sagt ihr Sohn Ken. ‚Sie hat aber im letzten Jahr das Rauchen aufgegeben. Smoking is a great thing. Tobacco soothes in stressful times and smoking stimulates when you are tired and exhausted. Tobacco allows me to do my business on the toilet in the mornings and I am settled after that all day long. Tobacco increases my ability to concentrate and makes it easier for me to write my articles. But according to a study by the WHO in 1998, I should have died about 50 years ago. Rauchen ist eine tolle Sache. Tabak beruhigt in stressigen Zeiten und Rauchen regt an, wenn man müde und erschöpft ist. Tabak lässt mich morgens auf dem WC sofort mein Geschäft erledigen und ich habe danach den ganzen Tag Ruhe. Tabak steigert meine Konzentrationsfähigkeit und lässt mich leichter meine Artikel schreiben. Doch gemäß der der WHO zugrunde liegenden Studie aus dem Jahre 1998 hätte ich bereits vor etwa 50 Jahren gestorben sein müssen.
